Love is a river, not a cage,
It sweeps around and over us all.
While tears flow and jealousies rage,
Blaming us whenever we fall.
Love is the sky, open and wide,
It is not just what you can hold.
It is having the ones by your side,
With whom you want to grow old.
Love is the stars, each one a heart,
None better, none worse, all aflame.
Each lover in turn, playing their part,
In loves sweet wonderful game.
Love is the ocean, wild and untamed,
Its depths are hidden from view.
And when a soul drowns, no one shall be blamed,
Love doesn’t single out you.
Love is the hills, rolling ever on,
As you trek, there is always one more.
And even after you are long gone,
The footprints are there on the floor.
Love is the whole world and all it contains,
Love should be shared with all whom you know.
Love cannot be divided till nothing remains,
All love can do, is forever grow.
